Terms of service

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and [Your company name] ("we", "us"), which runs Appmaker at this website. They apply when you use the site, whether or not you have an account. By using Appmaker you agree to them. If you use Appmaker for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.

What Appmaker does

Appmaker uses AI to create mobile apps from your descriptions or from a website you name, shows them in a preview, and helps you publish them. Depending on this site's settings it can also build apps for the App Store and Google Play, host support and privacy pages for your apps, keep apps up to date from a website, and take bookings in your apps.

AI makes mistakes. Apps, text, listings and suggestions made by Appmaker may be incomplete, inaccurate or not suitable for your purpose. Check everything before you publish or rely on it.

Your account

You need to give a valid email address and keep your password or passkey safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at [your contact email] straight away if you think someone else is using it. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least 13.

You are responsible for your apps

You're responsible for everything in your apps and their store listings: text, claims, prices, images and features. Make sure it's true, accurate and allowed, and that it follows the law and Apple's and Google's rules. That includes rules on advertising, consumer protection, privacy, health and financial claims, and intellectual property.

Appmaker's claim-safe wording and its checks for health, medical and financial claims help, but they can't catch everything and aren't legal advice. Whether an app is accepted by Apple or Google is up to them.

If your app collects information from its users (for example bookings), you are responsible to those users for how it's handled, and for having a privacy policy that describes it.

Appmaker can draft your app's privacy policy, support page and terms of use from what its code does, but you are responsible for them, wherever they're hosted: what they say must be true and complete for your app and your business, including anything Appmaker can't see (such as services, tools or data you add outside it), and lawful where you publish. They're a starting point, not legal advice: read them, correct them, and keep them up to date.

What you may not do

Don't use Appmaker to make or publish anything that:

  • is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive or misleading, or impersonates someone else;
  • infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights, including content copied from a website you don't have permission to use;
  • is malware, spyware, or designed to collect information without consent;
  • harasses, threatens or exploits anyone, or sexualises minors;
  • tries to break, overload, probe or get around the limits or security of Appmaker.

Your content and your apps

You keep the rights you have in what you give us, like your descriptions, logos and text. You own the app code Appmaker creates for you and can download it and use it as you like, subject to the licenses of the open-source parts it uses (such as React Native, Expo and Lucide icons).

You give us permission to store and process your content only as needed to run Appmaker for you: for example to send it to the AI service that writes your app, to show your preview, and to build and host what you ask for.

When you use URL to App, you confirm you have the right to use that website's content and images in your app.

Credits and payments

Some actions cost credits, as shown on the Credits page. There are no subscriptions: you buy credit packs when you need them. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't see or store your card details. Prices are shown before you pay and may include tax where required.

Credits don't expire while this site offers them, have no cash value, and can't be transferred or exchanged. Free credits may be topped up monthly and don't carry over. Buying any pack unlocks the paid features for your account. Payments aren't refundable except where the law requires it or we decide otherwise; if an AI request fails before doing anything, its credits are returned automatically.

We may change prices, what things cost in credits, and free allowances in the future. Changes don't affect credits you've already bought.

Other services

Appmaker relies on other services, such as AI providers, Expo, Apple, Google and Stripe. Their own terms apply when you use them through Appmaker (for example Apple's and Google's developer agreements when you publish). We're not responsible for their services, availability or decisions.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Appmaker running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything important (you can download each app). We may change or stop features, and we'll tell you in advance of changes that significantly affect you where we can.

Ending your use

You can stop using Appmaker at any time and delete your account yourself from the account menu (or ask us at [your contact email]). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. Sections that by their nature should continue (like responsibility for your apps and the limits below) continue after your use ends.

Disclaimers and limits

Appmaker is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't give warranties that it's fit for a particular purpose, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for apps and content you publish. Our total liability for anything relating to Appmaker is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by agreement, or liability that can't be limited by law.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [your country or state], and disputes go to its courts, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is significant, we'll tell you before it applies; using Appmaker after that means you accept the new terms.
